This Privacy Policy explains what information the Dave Tennis app and website ("Dave Tennis," "we," "us") collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Overview
Dave Tennis is a private scheduling tool for organizing tennis matches within an invited group of players. We collect only the information needed to run the service — to create your account, schedule matches, and let members coordinate with one another. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you sign up or sign in — including through Sign in with Apple — we create an account for you. Depending on how you register, this includes your name and email address. Authentication is handled by our identity provider (Clerk); we receive the account identifier and profile details described here, not your Apple ID password.
Profile information
Your player profile may include your name, email address, an optional mobile phone number, your email-notification preferences, and a profile-visibility setting that controls whether other members can see your contact details.
App content you create
- Matches you create or join (type, date, time, and court)
- Groups and group memberships
- Your participation in matches
Calendar access (mobile app)
If you choose to add a match to your calendar, the app requests permission to access your device's calendar and writes the event to a calendar on your device. This calendar data stays on your device and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
On-device storage (mobile app)
The mobile app stores your session token securely on your device (using the operating system's secure storage) so you stay signed in. It is not shared with us beyond normal authenticated requests.
We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not collect precise location.
How We Use Your Information
- Create and secure your account and keep you signed in
- Schedule matches and show who is participating
- Let members of your group view contact information you have chosen to share
- Send match-related email notifications (for example, when a match is created or filled), subject to your notification preferences
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the service
How We Share Information
We share information only in these limited ways:
- With other members of your group, according to your profile-visibility setting and the matches and groups you take part in.
- With service providers that operate the app on our behalf (listed below), under agreements that limit their use of the information to providing their services to us.
- For legal reasons, if required to comply with applicable law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service.
We do not sell your personal information.

Sign in with Apple
If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may offer to hide your real email address and provide a private relay address instead. We use whatever email address is provided to send you match-related notifications and to identify your account. You can manage or revoke Sign in with Apple access at any time in your Apple ID settings.
Data Retention
We keep your account and app content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations.
Your Choices
- Notification preferences: You can opt out of open-match emails or all emails from your profile settings.
- Profile visibility: You control whether other members can see your contact details.
- Access and deletion: You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below.
Account deletion: To delete your account and associated personal information, contact us at the email address in the "Contact Us" section and we will process your request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Dave Tennis is intended for adult players organizing recreational tennis and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International Users
Dave Tennis is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
